Few things grab attention like a picture of candy. These free Candy File Folders use real photos to give students 3 folders of independent practice: one errorless folder and two matching folders.

Ways to Use Your Candy File Folders

Use them at independent work stations, in task boxes, during small group, or as a fun Halloween or Valentine’s Day task. Laminate the boards and pieces, add Velcro, and put them in a file folder or hole punch them for a binder.

How the Folders Work

Start with the errorless folder, where every piece goes on the board. Once a student knows the routine, move to the matching folders, where each candy photo matches an identical picture. Real photos help students connect the task to things they see in real life. And yes, a lot of my students worked extra hard knowing there might be a real piece of candy waiting at the end.
