About Jenn Adams & Teach Love Autism

Hi there, I’m Jenn! I’m a special education teacher, instructional coach, and the founder of Teach Love Autism, an education business that creates teaching resources for special education classrooms and homeschool families.

I’ve spent nearly 20 years in education, teaching every grade from Pre-K through 12th. I’ve taught preschool, elementary, and middle and high school alternative education, working with a wide range of learners, including students with disabilities.

My Teaching Background

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2007. After four years in general education classrooms, I wanted to do more for the students who needed extra support. So I went back to school and earned my master’s in Special Education in 2013.

My first special education role was teaching grades 6 through 12 in an alternative education setting. From there, I spent 10 years teaching in a self-contained autistic support classroom, and that’s where my heart really landed. In 2021, I added an administrative certification, and in 2022 I became a certified Wilson Reading Instructor, which deepened my understanding of reading instruction and the Science of Reading for students with disabilities.

After my years in the classroom, I moved into a Special Education Instructional Coaching role at a cyber charter school in Pennsylvania. For 3 years, I supported more than 100 teachers across Autistic Support, Life Skills Support, and Emotional Support programs, helping them set up classrooms, plan instruction, and track student progress.

Why I Started Teach Love Autism

Working with students has always been my passion, but supporting autistic learners is what lights me up most. My students were my everyday inspiration and the reason Teach Love Autism exists. I wanted to give teachers, paraprofessionals, and families practical, ready-to-use materials that help students build skills and become more independent.

As a teacher, I believe two things make a classroom work: organization and independence. When both are in place, students learn, staff are engaged, and everyone grows. And let’s be real, that’s what we all want, right?

A Little About Me Outside the Classroom

My family means the world to me. I have a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters who love helping me build, create, and prep materials for this little business. We love family vacations, movie nights, and snuggling with our two Bernedoodle pups. And yes, I have a passion for coaching too. Clearly, my love for helping kids learn knows no bounds!
