Description
You hold up a picture and ask, “What do you think happens next?” And you get a shrug. Or a guess that has nothing to do with the picture. I’ve been there more times than I can count.
Inferring and predicting are hard for a lot of our readers because they’re abstract. So these predict and infer task cards use real photos instead of clip art. Students look at a real moment, notice the clues, and use them to make a smart guess. It’s concrete, it’s visual, and it builds the same thinking they’ll need when the pictures go away and it’s just the text.
What’s Included in the Predict and Infer Task Cards Bundle
This bundle includes four sets: the year-round set plus October, December, and April. Each set comes with:
- Two anchor charts to teach inferring and predicting
- Real photo task cards with guiding questions
- Answer sheets in three levels, so one small group can work at three different levels at the same table
How to Use Them
Use them to introduce the skill whole group, then pull them into small groups, centers, or 1:1 practice. Print and go.
