0-5 Errorless File Folders

Description

Building independence starts with tasks students can finish on their own. These 0-5 Errorless File Folders give students 6 number folders, one for each number from zero to five, where every piece goes on the board.

What’s Included in the 0-5 Errorless File Folders

• 6 file folders, one each for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
• A folder board with 12 spaces and the number and number word on it
• Pieces for each folder showing the numeral and number word

Ways to Use Your 0-5 Errorless File Folders

Use them at independent work stations, in task boxes, during small group, or for 1:1 time. They’re a great first folder for a student who is new to work stations or needs a confidence boost before harder tasks.

How Errorless File Folders Work

In an errorless folder, every piece belongs on the board. There’s no wrong answer, so students can focus on the routine itself: get the folder, complete it, and put it away. And every time they place a piece, they see and hear the number. I always start new students on errorless folders. Once the routine is solid, they’re ready for matching.
